The International Network of Street Papers (INSP) actively encourages and supports street papers worldwide to create opportunities for people who have been disenfranchised and are living in poverty.

INSP believes passionately in investment in people at every level, and its small but highly skilled staff and board work to deliver its many services with efficiency, integrity and care. INSP collaborates with partner NGOs and other bodies while working uniquely within its own ‘niche’ as an umbrella organisation, and to great effect.

INSP works in the following 3 core areas to accomplish its mission:

  • Partnerships, Training and Capacity-Building: Acting as an umbrella organisation, INSP offers advice, expertise, encouragement, research, and training for enterprising street paper programmes in 34 countries throughout the world.

  • Street Paper Development in the Global South: INSP currently places a special emphasis on consultancy and training, for street paper development in Africa and Latin America and helps to establish new street papers.

  • The ‘Street News Service’ Project: INSP runs an innovative online news agency, providing a unique forum for street papers to exchange editorial content, supporting their development and bringing local perspectives on poverty and injustice to an international audience.
